This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son; so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.
Who is Jesus?
Jesus is the one who set us free. We daily get to live in freedom because of the sacrifice Jesus made for you and I.
God sent His one and only son, Jesus Christ, to the Earth to live a fully human life. While on Earth, Jesus faced the same trials and temptations we do, however, he resisted them. Because of His time on Earth, we have a God that not only created us, but can relate to us.
Jesus constantly challenged the status quo. He set an example by loving all people, giving new perspectives, and performing miracles through the Holy Spirit. Not all people accepted the fact that Jesus was the Messiah. People were so outraged by His teachings and actions that they crucified Him to the cross as an innocent, sinless man.
The blood Jesus poured out was not void. Jesus died for the forgiveness of our sins. Love conquers death.
After His death on the cross, He was buried for three days and rose again to be with God. His death and resurrection broke the barrier between man and God, and built a bridge for us to have a relationship with God. Because of what Jesus did on the cross, people forever to come, have the opportunity to be forgiven of their sins. Everyone has the opportunity of an eternal life with Jesus.
Jesus is our why. Jesus gives us purpose, so now He is our mission. Everything we do stems from the freedom we have in Christ. We bare the responsibility to make Him known. Jesus hasn’t stopped and nether will we.
